Skamet P-216 GL is a steel-casing wood-burning sauna stove made in Estonia, fired from an adjacent room through the wall. Suitable for a steam room of 8–18 m³ — for a medium-sized sauna.
Steel casing — fast heating
A steel-casing stove heats the sauna in about 30–45 minutes (without a water tank). The manufacturer recommends it if you usually bathe for up to two hours. The stones (about 40 kg) sit on top of the stove and give strong, hot steam.
Firing from an adjacent room
The stove stands in the steam room, while the firing tunnel (17 cm) passes through the wall, so firewood, ash and dust stay out of the steam room. You can stoke and watch the fire from the changing or relaxation room. Firewood length up to 60 cm. The tunnel can be extended by 1–10 cm (selectable when ordering).
Built-in flue channels — efficiency over 70 %
Two built-in flue channels keep the hot gases inside the stove longer, so more heat goes into the stones and the steam room rather than up the chimney. This means lower firewood consumption and a lower flue gas temperature. The firebox ceiling is 6 mm and the back wall 4 mm hot-rolled steel. Skamet stoves are CE-marked and made to EN 15821:2010.
Boiler connection
The stove can be ordered with a boiler connection (water pocket) on the right, left or back, so that washing water is heated while the sauna is fired. The connection is two ¾″ male-threaded outlets. Matching Skamet boilers (80–150 l) can be found in “Water boilers and tanks”.
